Allerton Steel are specialist for fabricated beams and boxes, pictured is a fabricated box girder for the project:- One Nine Elms, London.
Weighing in at just over 80 tonnes and 14m long the girder was transported by road direct to the centre of London, our location in Northallerton having easy, quick access to either the A1 or A19.
Whilst we have crane capacity upto 60 tonnes, we regularly produce larger fabrications on trestles in the fabrication shop, this method allows specialist trailers to back in under the fabrication for direct loading.
Steel grade of this fabrication is S355J2. We also have experienced in high grade steels up to S690.
Operating from modern workshops with over 4500sq/m (50,000sq/ft) capacity. We are equipped with modern plant and machinery including semi-automatic welding, CNC operated profile, saw, drilling and milling machines. Additionally, we have a 3D modelling and surveying system to assist with complex fabrications and inspection.

UKCA Marked to Execution Class 4 BS EN 1090 with ISO 3834-2 Welding Quality Management certification.
For Military we are JOSCAR approved, for highways bridges we are NHSS Sector 20 and RQSC qualified, for Network Rail-bridges we are RISQS qualified. We hold ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and hold the BCSA Sustainability Award - Silver Standard and Construction Line - Gold Standard.
