We were appointed by the main contractor to take over the installation after the previous fabrication company sadly went into administration in March.

Our responsibility was to install six deck panels; each panel is 12m long x 5m wide and weighs 13 tonnes. A massive 1000 Tonne crane fitted with the 84m luffing jib was required to lift the final deck section in at a 78m lift radius over the River Severn.

Operating from modern workshops with over 4500sq/m (50,000sq/ft) capacity. The workshops offer a lift capacity up to 60 tonnes and are equipped with modern plant and machinery including semi-automatic welding, CNC operated profile, saw, drilling and milling machines. Additionally, we have a 3D modelling and surveying system to assist with complex fabrications and inspection.

  • Welding - MMA; MIG; MAG, Sub-arc, - High tensile and weathering steels.
  • Complex fabrications up to 40m long and 5.5m wide.
  • In-house machining, 3 no. High Accuracy milling machines. 11m bed, 11m travel 2.5 face up size
  • Profiling - 27m x 3m deck. 300mm thickness, bevel and straight cutting. Automatic drilling head
  • 60 Tonne overhead crane capacity
  • CNC drill and saw line up to 914UB size
  • Site welding services
  • Proof loading
  • Weld test; MPI or Radiography
  • Trial assembly
  • 3D modelling system
  • Mechanical & hydraulic assembly
