Bibby Marine announce new CEO to lead the company through its next phase of development

Leading marine asset provider Bibby Marine has appointed Nigel Quinn as CEO to lead the company through its next phase of development.

Nigel has been operating as interim CEO of Bibby Marine for the last seven months, while also acting as CEO at another of Bibby Line Group’s subsidiaries, construction asset sale and hire provider Garic. Having shared his time equally between both companies during this time, he will now take up the Bibby Marine role on a permanent basis with Mark Albiston appointed as Garic CEO.

Nigel joined the Group in 2017 to lead its Hydromap business and moved into Garic in 2019. As a proven leader with a focus on customer and environment, his experience in marine and asset hire at BLG follows a number of senior roles in the asset hire sector.

Nigel Quinn said: “I’ve really enjoyed my interim role as BML CEO and I am delighted to be asked to take up the position permanently. I have been enormously impressed by the team spirit, innovation and commitment to customer service I’ve seen across the business – something that was also apparent during my time at Garic – and I am very much looking forward to continuing my work in leading Bibby Marine through its next stage of development and growth in our marine markets.”

Jonathan Lewis, BLG Group Managing Director said: “Bibby Marine continues to provide excellent service to customers, whether supporting the offshore windfarm sector or providing environmentally friendly shoreside accommodation solutions for large infrastructure and other projects. Nigel’s experience of successfully leading marine businesses, combined with his passion for customer service and teamwork, make him the ideal person to lead Bibby Marine through its next phase of development.”
