NRL: Sunderland team receives prestigious client award for quality and service

NRL’s Sunderland team are celebrating achieving an official award recognition, having been recognised by their client SES Engineering Services for the quality and service being delivered on a key regional construction project.

Partnering with SES to provide recruitment, a bespoke workforce solution, which includes recruiting
supplementary mechanical and electrical workers for construction of AESC UK’s new 15.8GWh electric vehicle battery gigafactory in Sunderland. NRL’s team are based on site and have become an integral part of the construction project team.

SES, and parent company Wates Group, recently held a contractor business briefing for the project, which
included an awards dinner to recognise contributions and support across their supply chain. Attending on the night, NRL’s team were delighted to win the Quality and Service award for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing provision onsite.

Whilst being presented with the award SES explained why then had selected NRL as the winner for this category:

“The winner of this award is a specialist provider who have helped us greatly on our journey in the last
3 years.

They have contributed at first hand, ensuring their managers are based on site and responding to our
everchanging requirements quickly and effectively. They have worked hard in the background
interviewing applicants on our behalf and ensuring all our exacting needs are met.

They have introduced us to some of our key engineering and support staff and ensured all the site
workers arrive at the project with the right PPE, qualifications, inductions and most importantly are
aware, and willing to engage in the positive health and safety culture we have strived to create. For this
we are grateful.

Thank you for your commitment and service over this time, and congratulations to NRL Recruitment.”

Reflecting on the award, NRL’s Team Leader Rachel Fenwick said:

“Our partnership with SES means a great deal to us, so we were delighted to be recognised for our
quality and service. We’re passionate about providing job opportunities for local people to work on
milestone projects like these, and it’s always a pleasure to be able to onboard people with SES because
we know they will be part of a great team.
