Why should you use Double Bar safety gates?
Secure ladder openings and prevent falls from height with Self-Closing Industrial Safety Gates
Organisations and employers are responsible for ensuring safety when working at heights. To ensure the safety of individuals exposed to potential hazards, the use of safety-gates can be an effective and reliable alternative to traditional safety methods.
Even though traditional methods like chains, bars and sliding link tubes are still used to ensure access and egress to rooftops from ladders, potential hazards still exist. These methods rely on correct usage and can therefore be unreliable if used incorrectly.
CableSafe recommend the use of double bar safety gates over single bar safety gates. Self-closing safety gates are spring loaded, therefore they automatically close behind the user and maintain a safe barrier to protect personnel. The automatic closing door reduces the potential of human error.

Cable Safe Self Closing Safety Gate
The self-closing double bar safety gate from CableSafe is designed to prevent falls from heights at ladder openings, working platforms or pedestrian areas. The safety gates exceed the EU ISO 14122-3 standard requirements and is TÜV tested (certificates available on request). This European standard requires a self-closing gate with at least a hand and knee-rail. This self closing gate proven design is successfully used over 30 years, sold 500,000+ units in over 60 countries.
The industrial safety gate uses gravity to close, therefore is non-dependant on springs, dampers, cams or operators.
CableSafe safety gates are easy to install as well as easy to adjust with any new or existing structures. The Self-closing safety gates can be cut down and adjusted to fit the on-site openings; therefore no measurements are required before purchase. Since the gates are used as barriers to prevent unintended egress, they undergo extensive tests of durability and reliability to ensure that they are corrosion resistant and maintenance free. Regardless of how much weight is exerted on the gate, it does no bend, twist or beak.
Features & Benefits
The self-closing industrial safety gates are considered ideal for elevated platforms because they provide permanent protection to users. As soon as the worker passes through the gap the door instantly closes behind, eliminating the risk and ensuring permanent safety. Safety gates are overall a cost-effective and simple safety solution: installation and adjustments are a one-time investment and there are no requirements for cleaning and maintenance.
