South Fork completes monopile foundation installation

Orsted has announced that South Fork Wind has now successfully completed the installation of all 13 monopile foundations.

Following the recent installation of the offshore substation, this milestone marks another big step towards the 132MW project becoming the first fully operational offshore wind farm in US federal waters later this year, the Danish developer said.

Array cable installation is ongoing, and later this summer and into the autumn, South Fork Wind will begin installing the 11MW wind turbine generators, Orsted added.
