Teesside University International Business School’s Sustainability Business Specialist Apprenticeship, in partnership with Grant Thornton, equips professionals with the skills to integrate sustainability into business practices. This innovative, industry-driven programme blends theoretical learning with practical application, enabling apprentices to address environmental, social and governance (ESG) challenges effectively.

Programme structure and delivery
This 18-month apprenticeship (plus a six-month End Point Assessment) is delivered 100% online. Modules include:

· Sustainability and Regulatory Frameworks
· Sustainability Principles and Data Reporting
· Sustainable Finance and Legislation
Learners benefit from collaboration with the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre, supporting the UK’s green industrial revolution. The course is accredited by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and is fully-funded by the apprenticeship levy.
This is an online programme, with optional in-person networking events throughout the apprenticeship.
Entry requirements and locations
Applicants need employer approval, a relevant job role and either an undergraduate degree (2:2 or higher), industry experience or equivalent qualifications. The programme has start dates annually in September, January and May.
